Topic: Impacting Claims Costs By  Building Better Health Care Consumers

    Speaker: Claire Kelbaugh

We live in a world of increasing health care cost. But what’s the best way to combat? Knowing that insurance premiums impacted by claims experience, an obvious objective is to build better healthcare consumers and increase health management within your population. Join us at our March 2019 meeting as Claire Kelbaugh, President and owner of Sterling Wellness Solutions, discusses how educating your employee population about your organization’s health costs and why you care about their health will build employee appreciation, morale and impact to your bottom line. Claire will demonstrate how you can lead the way to reduce health care spending and build participant trust and engagement. This will be an interactive session where we all learn from each other!

Claire Kelbaugh graduated from Louisiana State University with a Bachelors in Speech Communications. She started her career in the employee benefits industry where she was a consultant and broker for a large national risk and insurance services and solutions company.  After years of seeing self-insured employers struggle to reduce the cost of health care claims, Claire saw an opportunity to make an impact on employers and employees through a proactive approach to healthcare. In 2001, Claire founded Sterling Wellness Solutions with a mission to educate employers on the benefits of implementing workplace wellness programs. Over a decade later, Sterling Wellness Solutions is a full-service wellness company dedicated to reducing the costs of health care by educating employees and their dependents on managing their health risk factors and motivating positive change.
